Yael, an Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael earned a bachelor's qualification from NIDA. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky enough to work with some of Australia's top storytellers, stars of the stage and visionaries working behind the scenes of film, television and theatre. Yael's professional career is thriving throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when her show was critically-acclaimed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is a Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery encourages writing, innovative creative projects, and supports the development of young writers.
